 Development-political work



In 2002, supported by the Pink/Rosa-Luxemburg-Foundation, a moving photo exhibition about the culture of the Rendille, "The Rendille - Dances, Trance and Body Decoration, Nomads in Kenya " opened, and was presented for the first time in May as a opening lecture in the Pink/Rosa-Luxemburg Foundation.
In the same year at the Andreas High School during their project days, it was issued in the gallery “Kliz” on the “2. World celebration” and at the “school for adult education” (SFE), also in the context of the project days.
The goal of the exhibition was to represent the life situation of the Rendille people from the north of Kenya, as well as SONED wants to show the local project work.
In 2003 it was descided to present the exhibition in some public places with a open lecture:

 

  •  Office for district Friedrichshain Kreuzberg
  • Africa weeks in Berlin Weißensee
  • House of the Democracy, Prenzlauer Berg
  • Congress of establishment of the Institute for Nomadology in Berlin Mitte

Since 2002, project days and lectures in schools, intensive relations with schools, at which project days or weeks were accomplished, proceeds going to the current projects of SONED. There is this those the free school Baek into the Prignitz the school for adult education in cross mountain the Andreas High School in Friedrichshain in the years 2002 and 2003.  for example solar dryers were tested here, dismantled and prepared for the dispatch to Africa. The moreover the pupils got view of the projects with the help of a documentary film as well as a dia. clay/tone lecture of SONED of north Kenya and into the life of the Rendille in Karare/Nordkenia. The Nigerian artist Akinola Famson studied a play with the children and accomplished for parents a Trommelworkshop. The exhibition "war is not children's game" to the Andreas High School was mediated. 2004 were treated Nigeria as project country and made with the help of a dia. clay/tone lecture a journey according to Osogbo the holy places of the Yoruba. The goal of diminishing participant inside the continent Africa of presenting its humans and cultures as well as prejudices and fears of contact was achieved. With the landweg e.V., free Schule/Elterninitiativkindergarten in Baeck (Prignitz) could be agreed upon further co-operation, particularly about co-operation with school projects in Africa. At present planned a north south exchange of experience between teachers, parents and pupils with the perspective of a school partnership with a school in establishment is in Osogbo/Nigeria.




Project days and lectures in schools

Since 2002 intensive relations have existed with schools, who lead their project days- or weeks with reference to the actual projects of SONED.
They are this those;

  • The free school Baek into the Prignitz
  • The school for adult education (SFE) in Kreuzberg
  • The Andreas High School in Friedrichshain

 

In the years 2002 and 2003 solar dryers were tested, dismantled and prepared for the dispatch to Africa.  Beside this, the pupils received an view into the projects of SONED in north Kenya and in the life of the Rendille in Karare/Northkenia), trough a documentary film as well as a slide sound lecture.
The Nigerian artist Akinola Famson developed with the children a theatre-show and lead the parents trough a workshop for drums.
We arranged the exhibition "War is not a children's game" at the Andreas High School.
2004 we were treated Nigeria as a project country and go, with help of a slide-show-lecture to a journey, to Osogbo, the holy places of the Yoruba. The object making the participant acquainted with the continent Africa,its humans and their cultures was reached, as well as they lost their prejudices and fears of contact.
Together with the free school and the self organise kindergarten in Baeck (Prignitz,
we had arranged a new cooperation, with the special item of schoolpartnerships in Africa. At the moment is planned a north south exchange of experience, between the teachers, parents and pupils, with the perspective of a school partnership with a school in Osogbo/Nigeria, who founded itself already now.

Adult education

Since 2005 the education landscape of the adults is again more in the focus of SONED e.V. By a new club member organized, regularly info. meetings take place to commitment abroad, serviceservice services, work in the volunteer service and similar topics at the people's highschools of Friedrichshain Kreuzberg and of Tempelhof beautiful mountain, as well as at other associations as the federation youth or the world peace service. If you should have interest in a lecture with your institution, announce yourselves please to Monika franc in the then OD office. In October 2006 by lectures in the neighbourhood center Wilhelmshagen the inland/public work of the association as well as the work on the project in Kenya as well as in Nigeria was introduced and the public perception of these topics with that approx. in each case. 15 participant inside discusses.

Adult education

In October, 2006 the domestic work and public relations of the association as well as the project work was presented by lectures in the neighborhood centre Wilhelmshagen in Kenya as well as in Nigeria and the public protection(observation) of these subjects with approx. 15 participants in each case was discussed.
